Friendship House

This project involved a large extension to local community elderly person day centre that was funded by the national lottery. The extension was to act as an open space for the centre to put on events/ functions and also act as an area that can be adjusted to suit the various activities that take place there (ground work taking place). The project was managed from start to finish by RCP Contractors on behalf of the local authority, with all extension features to match the existing building, including: brick work, parapet fascia, windows and doors (finished extension external). Internally, due to the various activities to take place in the extension a solid timber floor was installed due to it's hard wearing nature.

These 2 photo's above show small extensions that have added a single room to a property. In both cases the client has achieved a minimal but functional required space that was simply not possible to locate in the existing house. All extension features such as brickwork, roofing and windows were made to match the existing. Patios/ paths were also laid.

The Minims Special Needs Care Homes

At these two care homes we carried out various external / landscaping works to give the inhabitants and carers a safer and more usable garden. The gardens were levelled evenly for overall access. New turf and smooth/ level finish paving slabs were laid for external activities, whilst sleeper retaining walls were added to the boundaries to compensate for the new ground level differences with neighbouring properties.
